How Long Does It Take to Cook Chicken and Potatoes in the Slow Cooker?
I have four chicken pieces (drumsticks and such) that have already been seasoned. Can I put them in the slow cooker with potatoes and other vegetables? If so, how long for? Do I need to add chicken stock or something else like that as well?

The chicken will cook faster in the crock pot than potatoes. Usually about 2-3 hours on high will do it. If you want more flavor I’d say chicken stock is a good choice and some onions. I make stew all the time but I usually cook the meat before I stick it in with the rest. I just always have. If you didn’t want to cook it before hand then just check on the chicken after about 2 hours or before serving to make sure it’s cook completely. Leaving the bone on gives it more flavor but it’s really up to your taste buds.

I don’t do chicken in the slow cooker. I always bake it. takes about 40 min to bake, and it would take about 3 hrs in crockpot, so it is not good to do chicken in crock pot. Potatoes about 30 min on stove, or 4-6 hours in slow cooker again depending on the type of potatoe and all that u are using.
